NTT DoCoMo the Japanese company which recently launched it services in India has plans for technology ten years ahead. The company is planning to make a wearable cell phone for the year 2020 with eco-friendly features.
The proposed concept for this phone is that the cell phone builds up kinetic energy by virtue user movement. This energy converted into electrical energy and this supplies the charging for the device.

The eco-friendly phone will have a
- small flip-top screen and will be capable of projecting images onto a wall
- it can be used as an ID to enter the family home or board a flight
- device helps you to have video-chat with friends
- Control robo-vacuum cleaner via remote.
- ability to connect the user to everyone, anywhere, anytime
Looks like a phone for all utilities but 2020 is a far away time.

We have seen a lot of wear-able accessories for iPhones and iPods over the past years. JogJacket is just another wear-able sport accessory for iPhone or iPod Touch, The Jacket comes with an armband that latches to your hand all the while you are jogging. If you have a bigger muscle then there is also an adjustment to fit itself properly. The other good ways of wearing this device to clipit to your belt or hang it around your neck.
The case is light, durable and transparent on the front. The case keeps your phone dust free and scratch free. The JogJacket fits all generations of ipods and iphones released till date. The accessory is very much available for buying now via USBfever for a reasonable price of $16.
Samsung India launched today another phone in the Corby line up the Samsung Corby Speed. This touchscreen device is again a youth oriented phone with stylish looks, decent color variants and good storage options.
The CDMA cell phone has a 2.8 inch screen, music player, FM with recording, 2MP camera a 80 MB internal memory with a expandable micro SD card slot up to 8GB. And my favorite part – one touch access to social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and photo sharing sites like Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket .
The Samsung Corby Speed is priced at 10,400INR. We don’t see CDMA phones at such a high price. Don’t we?
The announcement is made even before the Corby’s twin bro Lindy M5650 comes to India.

Google announced they would hold a press conference on Jan 5th and didn’t mention the reasons!! Well that’s not a big surprise. The other thing is that only 5 Nexus One Phones can be ordered using G-account.
Are you dying to order this phone for your self? Then stay hooked to the site google.com/phone on January 5th. Still not satisfied? Being exact January 5th 9am sharp.

Nohl and his genius mates claimed to have decrypted the “GSM encryption algorithm”. If at all this goes true then the experts could hear any conversation going on any mobile phone around the world.
The German cryptographer and his fellow hackers claim they can access any call around the world with the help of $4,000 worth of equipment. That’s cheap when compared to the power it can give you.
The man behind this Kartsen Nohl said
This shows that existing G.S.M. security is inadequate. We are trying to push operators to adopt better security measures for mobile phone calls.
The GSM Association say that such claims were also heard in the past which were all bogus and that they would be looking into the hackers research work.
Hackers have already got Nokia 1100 working for them but what if the G.S.M decryption claimed comes out to be true? The whole world look naked then isn’t it?

I apologize to few of my readers since my blogging hasn’t been consistent all the while. I didn’t blog at all between August and September due to broken PC at my place. Frankly speaking I never thought of dragging this site along so much but I just couldn’t stop blogging. However my updates were consistent from October in spite of my semester exams. And I know I will never stop posting to LPR since I am a cell phone geek and a blogging addict.
Few things which I really wished I could implement on my site from the first day are
- installing disqus comment system — I have installed the disqus comments system now which has brought lot of connections and community around my site.
- Consistency —- I am very sure I will post daily or may be even 5 posts a day since I am almost done with my engineering now.
- Market place — I wished I would have done it lot before. I forgot people seek utility more than information. Anyways I have embedded the Amazon widget below each post for you to check the cheapest deals around the web.
Looking for your valuable suggestions and criticism. Do comment below and add your remark. Since I have already said I will regular in posting from now on it would be a great idea to subscribe to my blog.
