Meta has started the process of bringing groups scattered on the same topic under one umbrella on WhatsApp. This group is called ‘Community’.
Let’s say you are associated with a WhatsApp group related to your office work. There are also a few other groups of employees outside of work in the office. Some of them have work relationships. Not with some. But the members are of little the same or the same type. WhatsApp will give you the opportunity to create a community with all these groups. On the one hand, just as the messy WhatsApp will be organized a lot, users will not have to be lost to find the message of the emergency group in the crowd of different groups.
Mark Zuckerberg, the head of WhatsApp’s parent company Meta, announced the new service on Facebook on Thursday (April 14) night.
He said users had been requesting it for a long time. With that in mind, this is an urgent change.
What will this community do? A WhatsApp spokesperson said the community will be the head of the groups. Anyone can create a community and invite multiple groups to become its members.
But whether a group wants to be a member of the community or not will be decided by the admin of that group. However, if you are a member of the community, the user will not be able to see the messages of all the groups. Even from the community, the user can only see the message of the group of which they are a member.
But WhatsApp’s new service doesn’t stop there. In addition to community services, four new features are added to WhatsApp. First, WhatsApp now has the opportunity to respond to any message like Facebook. Secondly, the admin can delete any message in the group. Third, Whatsapp can now be called by putting 32 people in groups together. Fourth, up to 2 GB of files can be shared.
